The awards ceremony will take place at the Long Beach Comic Con in the US on 29th October 2010, working in partnership with the Friends of Lulu organisation to expand the boundaries of the comic book reading audience, and their support of women in comics.
Friends of Lulu was established in 1994 as an organization to promote and celebrate women in both the comics industry and fandom. They have also taken up the cause of expanding the all-ages comic reading audience.
